Monterey Bay Makers

Who are the Monterey Bay Makers?

Monterey Bay Makers is a collection of local makers, tinkerers, engineers and teachers from the Monterey community. During the COVID-19 crisis, our primary goal is to provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to hospital workers, doctors, dentists, market workers, and other local emergency and essential workers. We have been making 3D-printed face shields to protect those who are exposed to potential health hazards.

To request face shields or ear savers, please review the types we have available on the products page, then go to the request face shield page to enter your request.

The team has been happy to help out local firefighters, police officers, the police academy, National Guard, NPS support staff, The Women's Shelter of Monterey, countless dentists, orthodontists and oral surgeons, as well as doctors and nurses. Most recently, we have been providing teachers at local schools with samples for testing prior to the school year starting. All total, we have produced over 2000 face shields for various organizations.
